Fort Collins, CO, June 19, 2007 - Funding Partners, a non-profit financial institution is proud to partner with the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless and its affiliated entity, Uptown Lofts Housing Corporation, to advance the mission of Denver�s Road Home and Blueprint Denver.� Collectively, these initiatives seek to transform the City to a world-class community.�

 

The Uptown Lofts Housing Corporation has purchased a parcel along East Colfax Avenue near the State Capitol with the intention of redeveloping the site.� The proposed project will provide 100 residential units designated for individuals and families transitioning from homelessness and others living at or near the federal poverty level.��� The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless also provides comprehensive services to all tenants to successfully transition clients to self sufficiency with proper treatments, counseling and job placement services.�

 

In 2005, the Metro Denver Homeless Initiative conducted a point in time survey, reporting 10,268 homeless individuals in the metro area.� Lost jobs and high housing costs were considered among the top reasons for lost shelter.���

 

With favorable financing through FirstBank of Denver and Funding Partners, the Coalition is provided the opportunity to further leverage its partnerships with the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority, the City and County of Denver, Colorado Department of Local Affairs-Division of Housing, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka and numerous private-sector and charitable interests. �Funding Partners is recognized as a leader in delivering capital and credit to geographic markets and populations across Colorado underserved by traditional financial service providers.
